"We've made it!", the words of Jin echoed through the town, as all the villagers awaken and light up their laterns that hang from their homes, the priests running outside the Sanctuary with joy, and the head bishop welcomes Jin with open arms.
Jin lands infront of the bishop, Lady Garnet. The elves land right behind him.
"Lady Garnet, a pleasure to see you!", said Jin with a smile on his face.
"'Tis an honor, and privlige to see you too, Jin. Are these the ones you seeked?", said Lady Garnet.
"Yes, they are. Clothes them, feed them, treat them with love and care, make them feel like family.", he gestures with his hands as he speaks.
"The usual then, of course." She turns around and directs a few priest to lead them into the Sanctuary. But then turns back and gets closer to Jin to speak to him privatly. "I need to speak with you."
"The anwser is no." Jin replies hastly in a whisper, with a somewhat upset look on his face.
"I know that this is no the best time to ask of you this, but it's hard to ever catch you otherwise. Neo Hogoromo neeeds an elder and..."
"...and I'm not the one to do it." Jin cuts her off, not in any need of hearing the rest of this, but is of course forced to.
"You have knowledge far beyond anybody alive at the momment, Neo Hogoromo cannot risk your death, you are the only one we got! Instead of being a Knight, you need to retire your sword, and do the job that is destined for you." She can only hope that he eventually reconsiders, and she knows that it won't be today.
"Retire my sword? To retire that would be to retire the lives of many. Your asking me to turn my back on everything I hold dear! There should be plenty out there that can fill in the spot as elder and though I am old, I don't have the knowledge you need." He turns from her and takes a couple of steps away. "I'm sorry, but I can't sit while the world beckons for a hero. I may not be that hero, but I will try to fill in the spot for him as best as I could." Before she could speak, his wings expanded and he flew straight up, preparing himself to mindspeak with Zenra.
"Jin...you are a hero...but for everybody else...you forget that without an elder, Neo Hogoromo can never upgrade...expand...we need a leader." She sighs slightly, knowing that he can't hear her. "If only evil can sleep, Jin would be able to be at peace for once in his life...then again, being an Elder would make him a nervous wreck...I just don't know anymore." She turns around with a downed look, and begins to walk back towards the Sanctuary.
Meanwhile, high above Ruby lakes, Jin closes his eyes and the golden feather begins to glow once again...
The connection is made, Jin begins speaking once again to Zenra, this finally being the momment of truth.
"Zenra, I'm ready. The elves are at Neo Hogoromo. Tell me where Lashana lies so I can devise a strategy, for I have a special surprise to whomever has her captive."
Sadly, Jin doesn't know that the location is the Demon Rhelm, the very depths of hell itself. Jin knows about the spell though, it very basic knowledge. It will not stop Jin though, and God only knows what this surprise may be.
