Fire burst from her fingertips, drawn to mind in the second between warrior's step and her own hastey retreat. Mateo dealt with the second of the pair. Apparently some cities were smart enough to defend themselves.

These two had been a bit more trying, smart enough not to allow the blade to touch them. Something holy about the way they held themselves and their warcry of 'horogomo', whatever that was. Fire erupted around him, tore across bladed wings as he used them as a simple fire shield. She followed the wake of flame, taking the moment he lowered his wings to locate her as an opportunity. Her blade scratched his arm, smoking and peeling back even as she danced away from the barage of blades and wings he sent at her, seeking to decapitate her as she moved farther from him. She turned, watching Mateo's fall. Blue eyes and their halo of green closed a moment and she was beside Mateo, a hand on his shoulder and they both vanished, standing on the outskirts of what was now another ruined city.

"We're gonna be rich." She told him with a grin. "And that one should live long enough to spread word that even the elite of this race will die."
