No more snow fields for Jin...it's too cold there. He tried to go back to the cottage, but to his surprise, Zion wasn't there, and he didn't know where Miyo went either...alone he started his journey, alone he became again.
He decided to go off and see possible locations to where to build a new Hogoromo santuary, upon his travels, he finds the still burning ruins of a city...the culprits were already gone, though.
"Oh my God!"
He raced to the middle of the town, looking around in a fearful amazement.
"Who...who would do this?!"
His only reaction is to kill off the fire, then look for survivors. His knees bend, the quickly extend to send him up into the air, in mid flight his wings began their process of releasing themselves from captivity, the Metallic Angelic wings that would soon become his trademark.
Once reaching a good altitude, he began to channel the spiritual rhelm to begin gathering his energy. He'll do the easiest thing to stop a fire; charge a beam with an absorbtion of oxygen molecules. This will make the beam turn off the fires...and not harm the livving as long as he doesn't aim at a head shot that can angel into the body which is somewhat impossible when you think about it.
Each hand charged itself with this special beam as he swooped down at the town, decipitating as much of the flames as quickly as possible. It didn't take long to finish...the fire did it's job way before he got there, only leaving behind stumps of houses, and of course, corpses.
He lands in the middle of the town again after finishing his 'fire fighter' job, and begins expeting the area, his wings folding in the form of a cloak, hoping to find some survivors. He finds one...one that will fill his heart with sorrow.
He knelt next to him, the corpse is in a familiar armor, faced down, he turns it over to find it's crest is none other than the Hogoromo Miri Crest.
"It...it can't be..."
"I..."
"...I can't beleive..."
"But...
"...but..."
They must've escaped when Akujin attacked and resided at a nearby neighboorhood...but to find them like this...
"Who ever did this will pay..."
???
"You there, you bear the white wind."
JIN
"Huh?" His sorrow was interupted by an unknown voice. He stands and turns. It's a group of three knights with an unknown crest.
KNIGHT 1
"You sure he's one? I think I recognize him from another clan."
KNIGHT 3
He stares at his portable radar system on hand, and nods, "The wings themselves show that he is Forgotten like us, and the White Wind reading is very high on this one in specific...he must've interracted with the Goddess directly for these readings."
KNIGHT 2
"So what are we waiting for? Can we kill him now?"
KNIGHT 1
"Don't be so hasty." He walks up to Jin, serious in all aspecs of his gestures, "Do you follow the Goddess Zenra with her recent decition? Are you her minion?"
JIN
He could only look at them puzzled, not understanding of what the situation is, he could only think of responding as orderly as possible. "I am Jin Kayoroqua, Master Knight of the Holy Knights known as the Hogoromo...what's the situation?"
The knights take a couple of steps back, not realizing who they were speaking too, the one who seems to be the leader continues speaking.
KNIGHT 1
"Master Jin...I had no idea. The situation is as follows, sir. The Goddess Zenra has commanded what seems to be too minions to purge the world of Forgottens. She feels we are a mistake to excistance itself. We were questioning you because we are making sure it's ONLY two minions. All followers must quickly show loyalty to Forgotten survival by disconnecting themselves from the White Wind...as in not accepting her as the Goddess, but accepting her as the incarnation of Satan."
JIN
"W-WHAT?!" Of course this is impossible to beleive, deep in his heart he knows Zenra would never do such a thing. "Your facts are wrong! The Goddess has not betrayed us!"
KNIGHT 2
"Figures..."
KNIGHT 3
"He probally really DID interact with the Goddess."
KNIGHT 1
He looks at Jin, puzzled, "Have you? Have you met her in person?"
JIN
"Of crouse I have. That's how I know that she would never do such a thing."
KNIGHT 1
"Then...we have no choice."
KNIGHT 2
"Finnally...ahem. By high order of the elder, we are to destroy any followers of the Goddess in suspision in being part of the Forgotten Apocolypse."
JIN
"No, wait! You don't understand!"
A battle...it has been long since Jin has encountered once of those, but he must not perish here, it's not time for him to die yet.
The battle begins, all the Knights attacking Jin viciously, Jin dodging and blocking attacks. Dodging magic moves as well as blades of swords.
Jin needs to find a way to catch their attention, he needs to explain his cause.
He quickly hopes back from the midist of the raging battle, his wings extend and he flys up, leaving the other three on the ground. It's time for Jin to expose his power.
His hands come together as if they were holding a sword, the leather gloves his bought finally achieving their purpose. Tendrils of white begin to emmit from his hands, begining to fill up an invisible 'rod'. The energies are of pure Holy, condensing themselves in this bright white rod shape. The process is finished, revealing that the Holy Sword is now exposed as a form of holy 'light saber'.
JIN
"Hear me! Knights! I wish not to fight you!" The saber glows, "But if I have to, I will. If Zenra commanded to kill off all Forgottens, then why would she appoint me to protect you all?!"
KNIGHT 2
"LIES!" He flys up, his wings expanded, towards Jin's direction, swinging his broad sword diagnoly towards Jin from right to left.
JIN
"ARG! BEHOLD THE ESSENCE OF THE HOLY SWORD!" He swings the Holy Saber diagnoly in opposite direction from the attacking forgotten, slicing his sword in half. His eyes lock with his attacker. "He who attacks blindly, will loose to an opponent that fights with honor. Get the hint?"
KNIGHT 2
He growls slightly and flys backwards. Both of his hand begin raging in flames.
KNIGHT 1
"STOP! We must honor his decision. The Holy Sword would've rejected him already if he was with the Forgotten Apocolypse."
JIN
"So you beleive me?"
KNIGHT 2
The flames extinguish, he floats down, his wings fold.
KNIGHT 1
"...no. But we will allow you to live...maybe you can bring hope back to us. But we need evidence of your calling. NExt time we meet, we will not allow you to leave."
The three knights just turn around and begin to walk away, leaving Jin behind with the city of death. He could only float down to the ground, the Holy Saber vanishing, his wings folding, and wonder what's going on.
"I need to speak with Zenra, but by now, she should be already on the other side of Heaven's Gates and far from Spiritual connection's reach."
He looks around the area, nodding to himself.
"In remembrance of the people who died here, here I shall build the Sanctuary."
The scene fades out, Jin standing once again in the middle of the town.
