The song drew to an end before she realized it, the hundred or so verses having been sung without pause or any sign of faltering. As the music faded from her ears, the magic it had wrought still very present in the surrounding air, she became aware of mundane things. Her legs hurt, somewhere during the singing she had sat down without realizing it. Her throat felt dry and scratchy, she doubted she would be able to sing like that for a while. And she was tired. That last was to be expected, she hadn't slept since this whole mess had started for various reasons. One of them was because she wasn' sure she would be devoured while she slept. She didn't open her eyes now because she didn't think she could. Her exhaustion was almost overwhelming, but she fought it, Zigorot was still there, and she wasn't sure she could trust him to not eat her while she slept.
