Opal eyes glittered rainbow hues. He coiled himself lightly around her body, easily making a short wall around her. Nothing would dare want to face a sea serpent, so he was sure nothing would attack her, or him, for the moment. It would only be a matter of time before Nemesis returned to exact her threat. He laid his head down outside the circle of his coils on the sand, and faintly, he felt a pulsing of some other power than his own. He felt the faint link to the Goddess carress over him. Perhaps, just perhaps, not all was lost for him after all.

He yawned, water vapor rising in mist from his mouth, the only fangs present were two in front and two in back, each with its oun supply of venom. Neurotoxins that could kill a man in minutes from the breakdown of the nervous system. Other than that, he had no other defenses, save for singing. The innate magic is music that was present in all bards, even cursed ones.

He watched the sky, and listened for any that might try to sneak up on them. He wasn't in the mood to be triffled with.
