Upheaved trees were pulled further from the ground, free from their rest on their sides as they floated above the the ground.
"How long is this going to take, Raken?"
A woman's voice, as gentle as it was demanding asked out. Black hair up in spikes, though dust clung to it to make her seem older. She picked another huge tree with her bare hands and carried it over to a pile. There was someone(s) that was going to need these back.
Ayame was very pissed. Her entire property had been ruined by something with a meager power running amuck. Most of these trees had been the victims, as well as her house.
Raken stood over to the right of her, a small controller in her hand, and he was wearing something akin to goggles. His shirt was covered in the slogan Nanite Power, which he was using the save the Huge Senzu tree they owned from certain death.
"It won't take all that long mom. At most, twenty minutes. I've already sent a guardian off to tell the others of where my survelence cameras tell me people are trapped. That rabbit one, I think."
Ayame wiped her face from the dust that was still hoving around like a fog. Bad enough there rain here was sparce, then someone had to go and do some damnass thing like wracking land to top it off. She could just kill someone.
"Remember those falls that used to be near here? The one we always saw the Birds at?"
"Pulmakra Falls?"
"Yea, those." He twisted the joystick, and a creaking sound came from the Senzu tree as the dirt below it was being removed to replace it back into the ground. "There's a couple of kids trapped in there, those pointy eared people."
"Elves."
"Yea those. The guardians will be here shortly to replant these trees you gathered. You think you can go get them?"
Ayame ran a glove through her hair, then shook out the dust.
"Sure, I guess I can spare a moment."
The next moment, she disappeared, moving so fast no normal human could track it. Of course, everyone she knew was far from human.
The falls weren't that far away. She was there in two minutes. She halted in midair and gawked at was once a very beautiful place. Shaking her head, she landed and walked up to the wreckage of the falls. There was water everywhere when she started picking up and tossing rocks behind her like they were made of styrafoam. She cleared an opening in a few minutes, and peered in.
"Helllooooooo?"
