She closed her eyes, soundless now as her brother fell into the dreamless sleep of healing. He would be himself soon... but she had other things she needed to attend to. Standing, she brushed a strand of white hair from his forehead and turned for the door, footsteps falling silent on carpets she had taken no notice of before. It was a wonder this place had survived.

It was a wonder mad scientists had carpet. She'd never thought about that before, but had no doubt this man classified as a mad scientist.

They were waiting outside of mateo's temporary bedroom.

"He's okay now, just asleep."

The spikey-haired woman grinned and the mad scientist gave her a stupid look.

"I want to go look for others. I can walk. Uhh... where's the exit?"
