After passing through the second village, she came to the conclusion that her very brief traveling companions would not be returning. She had made good time, and pausing to rest for a short moment she took a drink of water and debated her next destination. She had truly nowhere she had to be, but finding a larger town would be nice. She could have a concert, play for free, just to have company again. That was something that her mentor could not understand, why she would be willing to play for such a large crowd and not demand anything in payment. She had shrugged and said that the playing was enough of payment for her. The enjoyment that others got when she played, the look on their faces was worth more than silver or gold to her, it showed that she had touched hearts with her music. Hoisting her pack into a more comfortable position, she started forward again when the sudden sound of hissing reached her ears. Startled she looked around and asked to no one in particular,

"What in the name of the Bright Flame is that noise?"
