Apple Festival Pageant
Tuesday, September 19, 2006 * 7:00 p.m.
Casey County High School, Hwy. 70 East
* Entry fee is $35. payable to the Casey County Apple Festival. Fee is not refundable. Entry fee must be received by deadline.
* Deadline for entries is Sept. 8. There will be no applications accepted after deadline. NO EXCEPTIONS! You may pick up and leave completed applications at The Casey County News or Dressed to the 9s or mail to: Deana Garrett, P.O. Box 160. Dunnville. Ky. 42528.
* Information sheets must be typed or neatly printed. Remember. the judges will be looking at these sheets. so you want them to be presentable. Information sheets must also be received by deadline.
* Contestants will compete in interview. sportswear and formal wear. A dress. short outfit or suit will be appropriate for interview. Sportswear attire will consist of a T-shirt provided by the Apple Festival Committee and blue jean shorts (chosen by the contestant). The evening gown should be a dress that best compliments the contestant. Contestants must wear long gowns.
* Pageant check-in is from 4-5 p.m. EST. You will receive a T-shirt and a pre-assigned number at check-in. Numbers will be selected at random.
* Following the interviews all contestants will be asked to remain at school. Food may be brought in to contestants.
* The pageant is open to any Kentucky resident and must be a full-time student in an accredited Kentucky school system.
* There will be a Miss Congeniality (voted on by the contestants). 4th through first. MISS PRETEEN WINNER WILL ADVANCE TO THE STATE COMPETITION IN OCTOBER. All Preteen contestants cannot have reached their 13th birthday by Oct. 31, 2006. Winners will ride in the Apple Festival Parade.
Contestants can enter "Most Photogenic" competition with a $5.00 fee per picture and can enter up to three photos. Each photo will be judged on an indifvidual basis, not as a group. Entries will be accepted at check-in. Photos can be picked up after the jodging is completed.
* The judges decisions are FINAL.
* Practice will be held Saturday 9/16 at 11:30 am EST, you will pick up your numbers and T-shirts that day
