I think that Mr Gib should go thru the list of rooms and make sure that all the county winners has a room and only 1 room for theirselfs and no one else. each county winner should be able to have 1 room there at the hotel for the girls to get ready in and anyone else staying with them or as their guest will have to stay at the other hotel. I think it is bull that the hotel is sold out of rooms and the winners don't even have rooms for them to get ready in. state is already messed up and we haven't even gotten there yet!!

I'm a selling a white Crown Collection gown this is a size 4. It has real iridescent beading around the halter of the neck, chest area, split of the leg, and down the train. Miss Harvest Queen Open Pageant!

Please note that there have been a few changes since the initial post, read on for details! The festival has been cancelled, but the pageant will still be held!

Formerly known as the Mackville Harvest Festival, the Miss Harvest Queen pageants are now accepting applications! Pageants are open to everyone in the state of Kentucky, with divisions for ages 0-23! Email missharvestqueen@yahoo.com for an application. This is not a festival or fair, just a well organized and fun pageant that gives great prizes!

All pageants will be held Saturday, Oct. 14, 2006. Divisions are determined by your age on the day of the pageant.

Contests for the Little Ones! THE DATE HAS CHANGED TO SATURDAY 10/14/06. Entry fee is only $5.00 and you enter at the door! We will send you the application in advance if you like, just email us to request one. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends promptly at 9:45 a.m. with the pageant to follow immediately. Attire is ‘Sunday Best’. A winner and two runners up are chosen in each division. Contestants compete individually, not in pairs.

(0-2) Baby Miss/Baby Mister
(3-4) Wee Miss/Wee Mister
(5-6) Tiny Miss/Tiny Mister
(7-8) Little Miss/Little Mister


Miss Harvest Queen Pageants. $30 entry fee, division is determined by your age on the day of the pageant. Check in at 12:00, brief rehearsal to follow, pageant begins at 3:00. No interviews- contestants compete in themed casual wear, formalwear, and give an onstage introduction. A winner and four runners up, spirit award, and Miss Congeniality are selected for each division. There is also an optional photogenic competition that is $10 to enter. Applications are due Friday, Oct. 6, 2006.

Entry Fee: $20.00 entry fee for all divisions (optionals included). Optionals will be Prettiest Hair, Prettiest Eyes, and Prettiest Smile.
Age will be determined as of pageant date. Pageant wear and makeup is permitted, but remember to keep your children age appropriate. Ages 13-21 will model in formal wear. Ages 8-12 is optional. It can be either Sunday or formal wear. Again, remember to keep it age appropriate. Pageants will begin at 1:00 p.m. Each category will follow in order listed.
0-12 month boys Baby Master Christmas
0-12 month girls Baby Miss Christmas
1-2 year old boys Toddler Master Christmas
1-2 year old girls Toddler Miss Christmas
3-4 year old girls Preschool Miss Christmas
5, 6, 7 year old girls – Little Miss Christmas

General Information
• Registrations will be taken at door
• Please be at pageant 30 minutes prior to scheduled event to obtain your contestant number.
• Pageant will begin at 1:00, you may register during pageant, but each category will begin as soon as the last category is finished.
• Everyone will have to pay admission except contestant. Admission will be $3.00 for 12-and up, $1.00 for Senior citizens over 65 and children 6-12.
• Please make checks payable to: Brenda Gregory, Christmas Pageants And mail to : P O Box 149 Franklin KY 42135-0149
• Dressing rooms will be available.
• All beauty divisions will be awarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places.
• Contestants can never have been married nor have children in any division.
• All judges’ decisions are final on attire, makeup, and winners in each division.
• Trophies will be awarded in all categories. Crowns and trophies will be awarded in all divisions except all girls will receive crowns, Boys will receive gift instead of crown.
• Winners are asked to ride in the Annual Christmas parade in December. You will have to provide your own vehicle and signs for the parade. Entry fee will be paid by Fair Board.

Let's make a list of no-no's that you shouldn't do while preparing for a pageant and while you're in a pageant.

I'll start by saying.....DON'T LET THE DRESS WEAR YOU! If the dress is the only thing that the judges see when you walk on stage then you're in big trouble. You want them to see you, and not the dress that you wasted hundreds of dollars on.

The Mackville Harvest Festival pageants now accepting applications! Mackville is a small town in Washington County, centered between Harrodsburg, Danville, and the Lebanon/Springfield areas. These pageants are open to everyone in the state of Kentucky, and while they do not advance on to a state competition they are organized, fun, and offer good experience for other pageants. The pageants are currently in their 6th year and have crowned many winners that have gone on to be successful in the MAO, Miss Kentucky Teen USA, and County Fair systems. We invite you to join us this October! Just email us at harvestfestivalpageants@yahoo.com and we will forward you the information and an application.

Has anyone seen anything of Kara this pageant season? She is a beautiful girl and I figured she would be doing several pageants this year. Maybe she's waiting to compete for the title in her home county (Edmonson). Either way, she is definitely a future Miss KY and I hope to see her at State!
