Subject: She was just happy to be in her own home, in normal clothes, all nice and showered and away from the noise of the monitors that had previously been hooked up to her. She smiled softly, her hand snaking up to gently bring down his head so she could kiss his lips briefly, her lips lingering there for a long moment before she drew back. He was being so great through this all and he had been going through everything too. "The couch is good sweetheart."

If you looked in my eyes
Would you see what's inside?
Would you even care?

  • His fingers twisted gently into her hair as he returned the kiss for a long, soft moment before smiling slightly and nodding, then helping her quietly over there. He was doing everything that he could for her, but it still didn't feel like enough. Between the sheer emotional strain of the past little while, and the fact that he had cut back drastically on his usage, he was feeling pretty run down - completely exhausted, and a little bleak even though a part of him knew that he should be more optimistic and just happy she was okay.
