As a parent who has provided gymnast funding upward of 4.5k a year for many years I can sympathise with FJ. however the "academy" carrot was dangled a few years ago in front of a number of our top gymnasts only for it be withdrawn after interview. Most carried on but some left.

We can all agree that without true funding the sport can only just tick along. Parents and supporters will continue to carry the cost but we must perserve a seek support wherever we can. Our girls need all our support and if it be group or individuals we must remain fully supportive, don't be downhearted but be encouraged by all the continuing excellent performances of our gymnasts and supporters.

The future is ours to mould!
