This is madness. It is likely that many Parents of the u13 girls will have already booked hotels fot 2 nights on the assumption that their daughter will get through to a final on sunday - I know it is nice if parents stay even if their children do not get through but - it is expensive and some times difficult if you have other family committmments. Will the technical committtee reimburse the cost of the hotel? - I doubt it - people make plans on the rules at the time. I dont think we will see how Rachel M , Amy and Marnie get on against the Juniors because I think only Rachel is likely to get through to Sunday - on all 4 pieces - if she drops ball - Marnie might get through on ball.
Also other age groups were told 8 would go through to sun - now it is only 6 - again I am sure that some parents would not book book hotel for 2 nights if they knew that it was only 6 getting through.
Does anyone know why the rules were changed at the last minute?

Also what happens to the u13 individual cups from last year - do they now get to sit on the mantlepiece of the technical committee - and who is on the technical committee?
It is this sort of thing that gives gymnastics a bad name.
