No i cant think of any other gymnastic discipline that the British champion does not get to represent their country, and it is hard when this happens, if i was the coach of gymnast i would be talking to national coach to find out the reason for exclusion, im sure this has been done already because as a coach you would need feed back. Its hard but in sport you can get picked then dropped you can even be dropped just before an international and you have to be very strong to keep going theres no point moaning you just have to get on with it or quit the sport. It is a life lesson, lifes not fair and as much as we like to protect gymnasts and children from seemingly unfair decissions sometimes we cant. All we can do is support gymnasts and help them deal with seemingly unfair descissions.
