Think there have been some misunderstandings.

Dont think anyone really thought announcer was speaking welsh - just that nobody could hear anything

the reference to sort out the PA - was I assume a reference to the sound system not a Personal Assisstant!

As with all comp I am sure many people gave up a lot of time and worked hard - but if you are asking people to pay to get in then I think they expect something in return - like scores!-and if they are not to be displayed then parent should be told before they pay

I also paid for a 'programme' which turned out to be a running order which was incorrect.

It is parents who pay the gym fees, the travel to comps the entrance fees for the gymnasts to comps the expensive leos the apparatus etc and then the entrance fees to watch the the competitions -

I was alarmed to read that some parents were told to be quiet - fortunately they probably never heard the announcement - this was a sports comp - have you never been to a football match or tennis match- at the recent European champs the noise of the crowd was amazing the bigger the audience - the better the atmosphere.
