It is the same old I agree. I think the big problem many coaches seemed to have at the testing was the fact that the flexibility testing seems irrelevant on its own!!! As many coaches said it is not all required to perform routines (obviously a certian degree is required but gymnasts wouldnt have got so far without it). Some gymnasts who have great apparatus handling skills have not qualified and who have reached the top in national competition (e.g. gold at the individual apparatus champs!) have not qualified.

It will be a small competition and its sad that i already know of gymnasts who have lost motivation as their realistic goals have been snatched away from them!. It is doing nothing for the sport but making it smaller and killing it!
