Bridgeport is correct. About a year ago we the board members of the 6th man club, were formally by letter fired by Gene Doris. We were told that we were to be replaced by other alumni and fans. We were never replaced. Joe Stag has done a wonderful job alone dealing with the athletic administration and should be commended for this yeoman's task. We who gave funds to this club were told that 50 dollars for membership was sufficient. This year we have not even been taxed this amount. There is no real 6th man club anymore. We are dealing with a myth. It is about time for the administration to respond and be counted.

Is that true? What jurisdiction does Doris have over a fan club? Is it University sanctioned?! If true, who if anybody has he reached out to? I agree that Joe has done a great job keeping things together.

It seems that Doris/OToole do not want any publicity and/or support. They information about the program comes strictly from this board - NOTHING from the University. That seems to be counter-productive...
