Given our major lack of size, wouldn't it have been better to have switched to a zone defense, because PC kept going inside for the easy buckets. I would have tried packing the inside more and make them beat us from long range. Time and time again, once they were able to penetrate our perimeter, they ended up with an easy 2 points. Gotta try something different.

Curry was lighting it up from the outside. That guy has a nice shot.

Don't know what defense we played vs Providence, but the radio announcers described it as an extended match-up zone. It seemed the big difference between St Joes and Providence was that we were more passive and ineffective in all aspects vs St Joes, while we were agressive vs Providence, and at lest caused a lot of turnovers.

The high FG% of Providence was disturbing, but I don't think we can just sit back and play "D". Even at St Francis we started with a zone, but I think we were more effective when we put pressure on the ball. Agree that mixing up the "D" has to be done.

We played a very aggressive match-up zone, eztending to nearly half court at times, doubling the ball and overplaying passing lanes. We gave up the inside, probably wisely.
