Over all, the ABC soaps are a mixed bag - some stuff is great, some hideous, but JMO better than they've been in the past. Mayhem McCrackho has not given us any more Comateo and the Rose Tatoo, but she has given us Erica and her daughters and the I did it, no you didn't I did routine. Good? Seeing Erica and both of her daughters pulling together for a change. About friggin time. Those three are a force to be reckoned with in PV. And speaking of reckoning, I'm totally digging Babe and her Mom. One thing that seems to work better in PV than in Llanview or PC is an occasional Jethro influx.
On GH, the best thing to happen in recent memory is Alexis finally standing up to Sonny. I hope Sonny figures out what her interest in his child(ren - Mikey IS AJ's kid, after all) is all about, and I hope she just decimates him. Alexis may be one of my all-time fave females, and I have missed her. I would love to see her with a worthy romantic partner, but IMO the only two interesting guys in town are Luke and Alcazar. Luke's heart will always belong to Laura, and I like him with Skye, but I could also see him with Alexis or Lucy Coe (please, someone, hire Lynn Herring). Alcazar has Carly stink on him. Ric is intereting enough, even after all the crap that's been put on the character, but I really like him and Liz together and don't see how Alexis could go there without backlash. Justus has potential, but I really, really hope he's for Faith (Faith and Justus has a nice ring to it, especially if the characters are naughty). So, unless GH is willing to bring on some interesting guys and write for them, I'd rather just see Alexis chewing bubble gum and kicking ass.
OLTL - I've been loving Dorian and David, pretty much just bored with everything else. Don't even care if Blair ends up with Kevin anymore. OK, so that's a lie. I'd rather see Tea come back to town and work on Todd's appeal than see Blair and Kevin sneaking around and Kelly losing her baby and blaming Blair. I'd like to see McBain get away from the kiddy table and start playing with the adults. RJ and Evangeline could use a little drama. What's better than a few years ago? The women are hypnotized or brain damaged, so there's at least an explanation for why they are so freaking stupid.
