I didn't get the chance to see Mystic River, but I'd like too. I know how deep and depressing it is though and somehow when I go to the movies I like seeing movies that will lift me up and not bring me down. Movies are my escape on a depressing day. I like to laugh or at least be in a good mood when I'm leaving the theatre. I leave the dark and serious pictures for VHS/DVD. Maybe that's why I have issues reading Shakespeare, if I have to put too much work into it then I kind of give up. Then again once I realize what the interpretation is I usually end up liking his work. I'd love to blame all of this on a brain malfunction, but really I'm just plain lazy and impatient. But I appreciate the advice and I may just take you up on reading The Taming of the Shrew!
