There are SOOOOO many worse recasts than TM, AND wouldn't HT be a pretty spendy choice? One would think (would one not?) that if ABCD is so strapped for cash, they'd be looking to keep recasts that are doing C+ or better work, replace recasts that are C- or below (FLASH???????? Ho-ey?), and use any extra ducats they can scrounge up to keep popular vets around?

I don't keep up with ratings very well, but I know there's been a steady decline since TIIC became actual idiots, instead of actual writers and producers, and started using that stupid Harvard busy school philosophy that's so popular in corporate America (your managers don't have to know anything about you product, focus groups will give you all the feedback you need, and underpaid underlings won't resent overpaid middle managers). WTF is wrong with people????

Gee, we're not making as much money as we want, so let's churn the staff because it must be something wrong with them. It can't be that we're just too fucking stupid or greedy or short-sighted to live.
