They're pretty coy about it - the husband says to Suzette, "You've known my wife longer than I have - in fact, longer than all of us," which I took to be a possible oblique reference to Hannah being there first.
And I could definitely buy that Vinnie would go way too far the other way, but I couldn't believe that with the rock cock collection (btw, the Plaster Casters were interviewed when TBS was originally released - I'll try to find it online somewhere - funny as hell) coming out, there wouldn't be, at least, a solid allusion to more important family secrets.
I can even understand the secrecy - my best friend and I briefly discussed whether it would work for me to adopt her baby. Answer: no. Open adoption is great, and I am all for it, but I think it's really hard when the moms are already really close. For the adoptive Mom to be the Mom instead of the Auntie, the biological Mom would have to go away, maybe forever. So, I can see silence being a part of the bargain - without it, both Moms might break in two.
But once it's eighteen years later, and the cat is clearly out of the bag, how about a little honesty (like that was a stupid speech - did you know you're another one of Steven Tyler's love children? Liv's your sister. Isn't that great?)?
Or maybe the leaving it unsaid is what that stupid side plot about Ginger's nasty throat gurgling is supposed to convey.
I'm thinking too much about this....
