Subject: The Chorus

In class on Wednesday Dr. Jackson reminded us again of the temptation to believe the Chorus at it's word. The reason? The Chorus is the mob, the mass of people, and therefore cannot be an accurate representation of the actual occurring. However, I was thinking about it, and wouldn't the Chorus HAVE to be a truthful representation? After all, they are the voice of the mob. The mob speaks the truth in that it tells an accurate reflection of the sentiments of said mob, correct? Is not the Chorus just another voice in the narration?

Just something I was thinking about...
