The Gospel texts are good examples of how violence can be stopped but I would saying just knowing about the history of violence would stop it. For example, war is something that has happened multiple times. From each war people improve weaponry and tactics to try and end the violence (albeit with violence). I also think that knowing about groups like mobs and gangs won’t stop people from becoming part of them. It is very dangerous especially since the participating members are unconscious of what is happening. I can see how one might think knowing about the violence/faults would help stop them but at the same time we mainly just know about past examples of the events. Since most of the mechanism is done unconsciously it would be harder to stop the violence. Make sense?
