Sounds about right, Hwaet!. My point was just that the great thing about the film is that it is sure to humanize the villains at the very moments when they seem so inhuman. It makes blanket condemnation of any people troubling when you realize how similar you actually are. We look at footage of Nazis storming people's homes and shooting them in the streets and say that there is nothing in common between Them and Us, and therein is the seed of the very thing we condemn in someone else. Recognizing the seeds of violence in ourselves, it seems to me, is about as important as recognizing the seeds of ourselves in those we are wont to loathe.
