While we're talking about this kind of thing, I'd like to add that a great example of the superhero being similar to the super-villain can be found in the video game Devil May Cry 4. Actually, the whole series is quite good at exemplifying this similarity. What I'm getting at here is that the story centers around two TWINS who each think that they are the hero and are fighting for the good while the twin in the villain trying to thwart their work. I find it interesting that the basis for Devil May Cry 4 is that each twin realizes that they need to work TOGETHER or they will BOTH DIE. What was once hero/villain vs hero/villain turns into hero & hero vs. other villain. Some of this stuff is really just fantastic when you think about it.
