Há muitas pessoas que preferem as interações via Internet às presenciais, por diversas razões: timidez, vida social restrita, falta de tempo etc.. Certamente, práticas desse tipo, interferem na vida social das pessoas, seja para o ‘bem’, ou para o ‘mal’; difícil de ser avaliado de forma geral. Há, por exemplo, opiniões bastante encorajadoras, como a do escritor Mário Prata, ao escrever a crônica Amor só de Letras. Ele diz, mais ou menos assim: “nunca se amou tanto e nunca se escreveu tanto, como agora, com a Internet”. Um fenômeno, no mínimo, curioso.
