If the show is not shown at all or the scenes are cut, isn't that censorship? (At least according to Germans)Its a distinction without a difference.

The bleeping and blurring is an attmept to have some kind of standard on what can be seen on television. I am sure Germans have some kind of standard of what can be seen on German television. The standard may be lower then American t.v. but you still have a standard.(unless anything can be shown including hardcore porno)

Please don't blame the garbage on t.v. on fundamental Christians. If we had our way the standard of conduct would be much higher and the trash t.v. would not be tolerated. But many things are tolerated in the name of free speech. Again, its a question of what standard do you want, and who decides what that standard is. No doubt, there is a culture war going on in America over these issues. Many Americans both Christians and non-Christians are tired of children being exposed to all the garbage and many would like change. There is a real struggle between (what I would term) traditionalists and secularists.

More to say but no time to type.
