Michael waited for a moment, watching Dorjan, then Looking to Hayden, waiting. After a moment or so he stepped away, his ears twitching furiously as he moved towards the kitchen to do his work. He hid half-tears from the other, whining about not having the act protested at all. So much for the wonderful Hayden.

Michael spent the whole time cleaning with his eyes half filled with tears, scrubbing the floors and the dishes quickly, avoiding letting any tears drop as he worked. When he had moved on to the spare bedrooms, he had calmed a bit, now cleaning just as quickly, but without the look of angst on him. When he finished, he returned to the courtyard, once again staring up at the sky, and to the setting sun, as the butterfly once more perched itself on his finger.
