Michael spent the whole time cleaning with his eyes half filled with tears, scrubbing the floors and the dishes quickly, avoiding letting any tears drop as he worked. When he had moved on to the spare bedrooms, he had calmed a bit, now cleaning just as quickly, but without the look of angst on him. When he finished, he returned to the courtyard, once again staring up at the sky, and to the setting sun, as the butterfly once more perched itself on his finger.
