.. The scowl on his face only deepended at her attempts. There was nothing there to harm him, of course, as what he had released thusfar was only inadvertant. If she couldn't pick that up, well then, things weren't going to be good around here. He got to his feet easily enough, cat-like grace belying his own anger.
"Stop cowering like some frightened kitten. Get back to quarters, and I suggest taking your dinner with you if you want it." There was a strong underlying threat there. Take it or there won't be any. And at the same time, a sort of twisted emotion - this was for you and I won't eat it without you so you have to eat it or it goes to waste.
His own energies matched and bested hers with every breath he didn't take, black eyes glaring down like stone. His arm muscles were tight, and Kyan's broken collar was proof enough of what he could manage in his own anger. Anger which was probably all the worse because he had never expected to have it directed towards her. ..

With the vampire's sudden movement, Kuro reinstalled her mind barriers and lowered the energy level back to a containable level for a human, thus placing her human mind above her beast's. She cautiously rose to her feet and bowed her head. It was almost in a whisper that she offered her words. "I apologize, Master." It was a strangled sound, and she regretted not sounding stronger, more calm. But, you don't get everything in life.
The shifter raised her spotted crown to survey the prepared meal before her. The Master had spent time to make this, or perhaps he hadn't. Nevertheless, if he wouldn't take it, then neither would she. If he scorned it, then so would she. This lesson had taught her something. That was good. Probably.
Kuro backed away from the angry vampire. She back-stepped slowly, almost waiting for the Master to call her back. But, that was doubtful. She pleaded with her eyes for him to take her back, that she was sorry, that she was just lonely. A million things she tried to say in her eyes. They would probably be ignored.
A thought came to her and her mind went to the Master's bedroom. It would be risky to enter and wait for him there, but it was an all-or-nothing plan. Nothing more risky than that. If Dorjan dismissed her, Kuro would head to his bedroom and wait for him there. If he got there angry...Kur shrugged off the thought. Broken bones heal, but grudges last a bit longer in both parties.

.. He didn't wait for Kuro's response, he didn't have the patience to do that. Instead, he turned from the meal and his book and her, heading down the path towards another entrance into the mansion. It didn't matter that she had tried to reconcile, that she was trying to do better. This was a lesson she should learn and learn quickly about Dorjan - he wasn't forgiving unless it matched his own terms and one shouldn't expect anything less of him than that.
He wasn't one to cross, either, apparently. ..
