Being dead didn't exclude one from suffering certain effects, and pressure points worked effectively assuming what was damaged was something still operable. Locking the muscles in the lungs through points on the back certainly wouldn't even cause a vampire to flinch, but temporary loss of the use of other muscles could be enough to allow someone to get away. Then again, no one had ever really tested regenerative abilities alongside pressure points. It might be worth Pheonix's hide to try something like that, if he could think it through enough. Then again, submitting might simply make things easier for the mage. He winced at the increase of pressure on his wrist, jerking slightly which just tore more of his flesh to please Pheonix. Pain wasn't something that Dorjan feared, let alone disliked, yet it still grated on his nerves. Perhaps he was underestimating the mage's ability, but for now his threat level was about nothing as far as the vampire was concerned. "The harder you struggle, the more things are going to be painful for you." He bared his fangs as he spoke, giving the mage one last chance before he did something... rash. Or maybe he just really wanted to see him flail. .. [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |

Maa. again I apologize for the shortness, but Phoenix is being evil. :p)) A slight smirk crossed Phoenix's features, giving them a sinister cast, and he allowed part of his concentration to go towards summoning even a little bit of flame. If this worked properly Dorjan would at least feel a bit of a burn, or a lot of a burn really, but he wasn't picky. And the great thing about this little trick was that Phoenix wouldn't be harmed...by the fire anyway who the hell knew how the vampire would react if he didn't move away rather quickly. Rash, who was being rash? "Maybe, but then again I wouldn't be connected to fire if I just submitted...Now would I my Lord?" He was getting annoyed with this entire situation and it was beginning to show in his tone and the way his eyes had gained a slightly sleepy quality to their depths. |

Dorjan had been expecting that if the other had any abilities, he would have used them earlier. So when the mage finally did do something, it took him off-guard. Certainly it was reckless of him to not assume that a mage who decently reeked of his tlaent would do something when pressed, but rash wasn't reserved just for Pheonix. It started as a little bit of heat, but the temperature quickly rose to a point where it was more than uncomfortable. He ground his teeth and the muscles in his arms tightened in response to the burning pain. At the very least, he wasn't stupid. He knew the source was Pheonix, and he knew that backing off would only give the mage more ability to concentrate on things. "I already said we could do this easy or hard." There was pain in his undertone, he was far from unaffected, but he wasn't completely crippled either. If it kept increasing, he quickly could be. Bracing on the hope that Pheonix couldn't gauge how much longer and to what extent Dorjan's physical body could handle before he'd have to do something - like feed for regeneration - he held his ground as best as he could. If the other pressed, he'd have to drop back. For now, however, his hands tensed and tightened. He could crush bone, destroy flesh and life, but he was also trying to restrain himself. Killing the boy wouldn't be any fun, even if this was turning out to be a little more interesting than he had originally thought. .. |

Well there went that plan out the window. "Kuso" The curse was uttered softly, too softly for regular ears to hear. Not true for Undead ears. "I don't suppose you'd do me and the world a favor by jumping into a lake of magma...would you?" The tone was mockingly calm and pleasant, had anyone passing by heard only the tone they'd have thought he was commenting on how lovely the weather was, and not a pool of bubbling lava. Carefully he shook his head in annoyance before letting go of Dorjan's wrist and bringing the sharp part of his heel down on the other's instep, and pushing hard on his chest. Hopefully this would startle the vampire enough to make him let go or at least loosen his grip. If it did he was so running far, far away. |

Dunno if I'll have time to post or not. Hope you had a great New Year!)) .. Dorjan seemed to finally either tire of this little game, or to have reached the edge of his patience with stupidity. He clenched the fist of the hand that Pheonix had in his grip, then jerked backwards with a fair amount of force in an attempt to wrench it free. So much for anything about pressure points. It seemed that Dorjan was willing to strip off a few layers of skin and probably dislocate some of the bones in his hand in exchange for getting the appendage back if Pheonix's own hold faltered. If the boy instead held on, he could very easily topple into Dorjan - that probably being a worse action than simply letting the vampire have his hand back. The smirk was once more on Dorjan's face, his fangs displayed prominently once more through the gesture. Pheonix's power over fire seemed to be diminishing, and the vampire had picked up on the fact that it might be more difficult for him to get that control back again. If it was, well, all the better for the master vampire and all the worse for the mage. By the looks of things, he wasn't too happy with the attempt at all. "That was very stupid of you, little bird. I'm certainly going to have to clip your wings now." The hand on Pheonix's shoulder, that had been crushing through muscle and skeletal structure, shifted down and tried to grab him at the elbow. Joints were weaker than sockets, and if he got ahold of that with enough leverage he would try to snap the bones. .. |

Date Posted: 22:54:15 01/11/07 Thu ((OOC: first a cold and now my allergies are acting up.-_-; life sucketh much for me. Besides which Phoenix was refusing to come out and play. New Years was boring, went to sleep at seven at night. Hope you had better one)) When Dorjan yanked at the hold Phoenix had on his wrist the red head thought about not letting go. 'Yeah, not letting go would be a very bad idea at the moment,' it seemed the more practical side of his brain was still a little helpful. Since he really did not want to be yanked into the vampire he let go at the absolutely last second gouging deep furrows into the other's flesh, which gave him a small amount of sadistic satisfaction. Once the vampire let go of his shoulder Phoenix quickly moved his arm away from the attempt to grab it, 'cause giving the pissed off male an easy opportunity to be the source of a hell of a lot of pain was a mistake that even he wasn't stupid enough to make. Hopefully he was successful in his attempt at keeping his joints from harm...for now anyways. Listening to Dorjan's words Phoenix hissed low in his throat before correcting the other. "No you don't have to do any such thing, you simply want to," his tone dripped with enough acid to dig a hole to the center of the earth. Needless to say he rather objected to the idea of getting his "wings", or any other part of his anatomy for that matter, clipped as the vampire so colorfully put it. |

Date Posted: 18:36:14 01/15/07 Mon ((It's perfectly alright. I was actually on vacation for about a week. Sadly, now I have to go back to classes. :/ Sorry to hear that yours wasn't much - wasn't much better over here, lol. Just really watched the ball drop in NY on the TV.)) .. Pheonix's action of holding onto the vampire's limb until the last possible moment, tearing out the most flesh in his action, drew yet another sharp hiss from Dorjan. He wasn't playing around, and something like a few scratches from his perspective weren't going to stop him yet, but that didn't stop it from being minutely distracting at that moment in time. He continued the backwards motion of the arm, extending it behind him and flexing it gingerly. Even as he made the movements, Dorjan's preternatural immune system kicked in and began a slower process of healing. The need to feed was starting to eat away at certain things. With his attention split between healing and re-catching 'his little bird', Dorjan's first movement to grab the mage's elbow failed. Yet he was not easily detered, and quickly made another try at getting ahold of the human's arm. He was still intent on the same series of actions if he was able to, yet missing again could place him in an odd position in relation to Pheonix and allow the other to push his luck for escaping. "You're here tresspassing in my home and expect to get out of here without losing something?" the grin spread wider across his face, "You're sorely mistaken, my little pet. Daylight is something you'll learn to see from indoors and only at someone else's whim." And here he goes with the threats again. .. |

Many thousands of apologies *bows contritely* I am so sorry it's taken me so long to reply! my computer has been being evil and kept eating whatever i typed!*peeks through fingers* don't eat me?)) 'Hullo! Wake up! wonder about that later!' only his instincts allowed him to dodge the second attempt and try to slink back behind the tree, since the vampire was most likely, though briefly, thrown off balance. At the threat Phoenix froze and his already narrow eyes became slits that shot flames and sparks of hellfire at Dorjan. "Fuck you," the words were hissed, most likely not the wisest choice of words but oh well, and lips curled into the most animal like snarl yet to be seen on his face so far. Usually he was more picky about what wording he used; however, Dorjan made him angry enough to not give a damn about words and the various inflections they had. "I am not your fucking pet, and I certainly am not going to be," if people could be burnt by the tone of someone's voice alone then Dorjan would have been ashes. Alas, such a thing was not possible so the vampire was still standing and not ash. Good for Dorjan, bad for Phoenix. |
