.. he listened to the female as she spoke, nodding softly as he contemplated her words. her dilemna was so similar to his in the fact that company - at least theirs, was a comfort compared to the bare walls. perhaps it was more the prospect of some semblance of family or the stability provided thereof.
"You and your son's company here is welcome, and is not in the least a burden to this household m'lady Cynthia. It is a welcome change of pace to have one so young at heart and old in mind as your son." perhaps a welcome challenge to teach as well. Dorjan had never in his many many years run across one so convinced of innocence at his age. most died off very quickly, a testament to Cynthia's protectiveness and strength. ..

^Sometimes Dorjan you remined me of my late husband yet, dare I say it, part of you seems to care a little more than he did. Fae stood dipping her head in a courteous manner. Of course he wasn't quiet as wise as you are either. Minx chuckled softly and then pondered another question. How shall I interact with your slaves? I must admit my family's slaves were treated differently than those of a vampire's household. We witches and wizards like our slaves to be civilized that means knowing how to read and write and have at least elementary levels of schooling and we even taught some of our higher servants magic so they could get their jobs done more effeciently. Would it be wrong of me to teach any of your slaves that wish it to read? I doubt you'd want any of them knowing magic. Magic can be dangerous in the wrong hands, I've learned that the hard way. And how do you prize your slave Sasha? Minx cocked her dial to one side gaze inquisative but the look of noblitiy never leaving her. She didn't want to 'mess' up Dorjan's slaves. Also if my services are needed I would be happy to patch up any of your slaves or fighters. My main ability is healing.^

he listened to her offers and questions, weighing what she offered to what his standards were before answering, silence prevailing between them until then. "If one wishes to learn to read, then by all means allow them to do so if you so wish. As far as your actions go, act around them as you wish. Do not grant them leave of the mansion beyond the courtyard, however. It is best for them to stay where we can watch them."
he paused to consider her question about Sasha a little longer, uncertain of the meaning. "I am afraid that I do not understand what you mean by 'prize', m'lady. Sasha is a mid-ranking slave here, and she is wonderfully behaved without any training on my part. If you are inquiring about Tony's attracting to her, he may touch her as he wishes, so long as she can walk away from him. In truth, I believe she is likewise attracted to him, though may I advise that permanent attractions would not do well for the boy. He will outlive anything not of his species."
"As far as the offer for healing, I thank you for it. It is usually the rule to allow them to heal themselves, so that the body becomes stronger. But there are cases when injuries are not due to them or should not be a tax on their own body. I will gladly accept your offer when the situation is correct." he gave her a small bow to that one, allowing to see just how much the offer was appreciated. ..

^She nodded permamently incerting the information into her mind so she would not forget. Ah yes, leaving is not the best of ideas, since one can runaway much easier. Thank you m'lord for clearing my head. Talking such matters out really helps the mind to settle itself. Tony's really the only person I've ever spoken with on such levels. Now that could definately be considered a compliment, since Tony was her pride and joy and speaking with this male as she would her son was a form of trust. She sensed no ill intentions on this male's part but she would still remain wary. Yes, he's lost a few girlfriends that way, I'm sorry to say. He really enjoys fooling around with the girls. I doubt he'll bite her though, he never did bite someone he liked, he felt it wasn't a very nice thing to do to someone you loved. That's why it's sometimes so hard for him to feed off of even me. Sasha did ask for me to teach her to read I wanted to be sure that was alright with you, m'lord. Oh and please feel free to come to me any time you need any healing, I love to help others so healing and teaching are two ways in which I show this. It's just apart of my upbringing and personality. Minx looked once more around the courtyard. Who tends this yard? It's so beautiful, I don't think I've seen a place like this in years. Once again she ran her fingers over a nearby flower bush this time all the flowers bursting into bloom. She loved nature it in itself was full of magic and the minx felt right at home with the trees and flowers, they almost seemed to speak to her.^
