In reply to: Solar-Fire 's message, "Oh come on! How is me buying a dragon any different from you buying a Vanq weapon?!" on 08:29:06 11/23/01 Fri

The difference is all about the character. It's wrong for a treasure hunter to buy a Vanquishing Halberd. Cause you are supposed to play that character true to his name, and search for that treasure. Is it wrong for a Warrior to buy a Vanquishing weapon? No, it doesn't matter how he gets his weapons, just what he does with them. Is it wrong for a "Tamer" to "Buy" a dragon? Yes. It's the same deal as the treasure hunter. The whole point of the tamer is to "tame" animals.

Not to mention that you sir, disgrace the spirit of the noble dragon. When someone has enough skill with animals that they can tame a dragon, (I use the word "tame" loosely when referring to dragons, as they are much above a domesticiated animal in my respect) that to me represents a special bond between the tamer and the dragon. They are not your slave, they are a commrade in arms. You buy them as if they were just a sword, an innaminate object with no brain, no heart. Then you will run around dungeons spamming All Kill, All Kill, All Kill as your dragon fights against your cruel and unnatural control. Shame on you, slave master... shame on you.
