For 冷眼旁觀's comment, I don't want it is a true, but it is!!
It is good to hear a school that is kind to their students and trust their students. However, it still have risk. Now it is the case students overuse their freedom and kindness given by their teachers.
I am sure everyday when you go home after school, you can see students who are in improper uniform, when you stay in school or even outside school, you can still hear foul language everywhere. What will the passenger think when they pass by? I can remember once my mum talked to me after she waited for me during the lunch, she said, "Why is there much of foul language in your school? Why do your teachers not remind the students about this?" I really did not know how to reply that time.
If they really love their school, respect their school, care the mind of everyone who is studying in the same school with them, they won't do this. But why they do so? Maybe they still love their school, maybe they still care about the others, but they do not know what they are doing are wrong!!!
You guys are right maybe, everything should choose a middle point to due with. But in this case, is kind to students really the sutiable policy for the school? I think totally not.
The another event, the academic result of school. You guys have to realise about that there will be a redetermination of EMI schools in 2009. Only the top 50 schools in Hong Kong, rely on HKCEE and HKALE, can remain to be EMI schools. I think SFXC is about the margin. If you really a Xaverian, should you do something for your school instead of playing this kind of childish game?
Maybe you can enjoy your game continuously in the future, bully the others and play happily throughout the lessons, we cannot resist you anyway. However, if you realise that you are studying in a school called SFXC, if you still love it, if you enjoy your school life inside it, I think you should stop it, study well and have good behaviour inside and outside school.
Althought it is quite a serious problem at this moment and it brings our school a black image, I think you guys can still cure it if you want to do so.
And for the teachers, I really do think they are too kind to their students, so the students do not know what they are doing. It is not the fault of teachers to love their students, but it is their responsibility to let their students know what they are doing is wrong. They should really consider about it. A harsh policy sometime sounds bad, but it may be necessary in the case like this.

The SFXC teachers always adapt ' Forgive and Forget' policy because they're kind and 'irresponsible'. The punishment of playing 'Happy Corner' should be at least a suspension from school and a major demerit instead of a minor demerit. We all know a positive reinforcement is a better remedy than a negative reinforcement. However, we are talking about a punishment of a misbehavior which is a physically abuse to the other human being. It indeed affects the victim psychologically in a long run.
If there is no further action taken to warn the rest of the students, what could students do in order to protect themselves from being ˉcornedˇ? The previous messages left by some students are really frightening - the authority knew that the happy corner has been going around in this school for some time. This is the first time the punishment was being enforced!
