Embasando-se nos textos lidos acredito que o aprendiz autonomo supera qualquer barreira para atingir seu objetivo. No entanto, essa afirmação tem validade para aprendiz que já são autonomos, ou que apresentam algum nível de autonomia. Como apresenta David Little (2002) em uma palestra para professores em Hong Kong, segundo Little o sistema educacional pode proporcionar ou sufocar a autonomia de uma aprendiz. Destaco estes dois pontos com relação ao sistema educaional;
"* the process of education should be continuous with the rest of living (Barnes 1976); and
* education should equip us with skills that we can use and further develop for the rest of our lives". Na mesma palestra Little salienta maneiras de como ppdemos ajudar os aprendizes serem autonomos:
"- by focusing on their learning rather than our teaching;
- by repeatedly asking them questions about the content, purpose and process of learning and helping them to evaluate its outcomes (Dam 1995);
* by involving them, whatever their age, in
- planning learning: setting short-, medium- and long-term goals and criteria for success
- monitoring learning: watching the progress of learning at a micro and a macro level
- evaluating learning: measuring learning outcomes against goals and criteria."

Assim Micheline acredito que a responsabilidade de desenvolver a autonomia no aprendiz não é somente do professor, mas também do escola como um todo.

p.s: Colegas quem tiver tempo de visitar o site que conttém a referência do David Little (2002) vai ficar sabendo como na primeira página como o Phil Benson "descobriu a autonomia" e também tem a fala da professora Leni Dam que apresenta dentro do seu assunto um "lesson plan" resumido de como desenvolver autonomia nos aprendizes.
