Não sei se entendir sua pergunta, mas pelo que entendi e relendo o texto de Sinclair a cultura ocidental é bem diferente da cultura oriental, como podemos constatar na artigo que lemos. O texto ainda reforça a predominância da cultura ocidental na aprendizagem autônoma.
Sinclair (p.3) ressalta que a visão política de autonomia é predominante em contextos educacionais asiáticos.
Em um contexto brasileiro, ainda, infelizmente, não temos essa visão social de autonomia, por exemplo, em que interação e colaboração, assim como reflexão e conhecimento , fazem parte desse contexto.
Se levarmos em consideração o desenvolvimento de autonomia é essencial em qualquer contexto educacional, independente da cultura, a influência de qualquer visão de autonomia seja social / psicológica seja individual / política (Blin,2002:2) será relevante para qualquer cultura. Assim, a influência de qualquer uma dessa visões será "adotada" (com as adaptações necessárias)por uma determinada comunidade. Pois concordo com Holec (apud Blin,2002:3) "...the need to develop the individual´s freedom by developing(...)abilities which will enable him(learner) to act more responsibly in running the affairs of the society in which he lives."
É o que penso. Não sei se estou certo. Me corrijam se estiver equivocado.
