Há pessoas, como por exemplo, o Prof. Gomes de Matos, que defende que o aprendiz de língua estrangeira tem direito de usar sua língua materna. Concordo com ele no seguinte aspecto: não podemos silenciar o aluno que não consegue se expressar no idioma estrangeiro. No entanto, é direito desse mesmo aprendiz ser bastante exposto ao idioma que quer aprender em situações significativas para que essa língua, como diz Almeida Filho, vá aos poucos se desestrangeirizando.
