Júnia:

Excelentes os comentários dos(as) colegas e sua observação! Obrigado! O curso caminha bem, graças a essas intervenções, a questões novas ou revisitadas, a comentários, bibliografia complementar, leituras, etc.; não é verdade?!

No item "A capacity to negotiate" do texto de BREEN & MANN (1997), temos algo que confirma o que você escreveu e que bem sabemos: "...leaners never work in a social vacuum. In the classroom, they participate in and help establish social routines and procedures with a teacher and other learners" (p.136).

HUBBARD, JONES, THORNTON & WHEELER (1983) também escreveram algo que vale a pena lembrar: "Finally, there is the simple fact that a teacher in a class is a human among humans. No sophisticated techniques, nor libraries of books on methodology, will help the teacher who fails to understand that students do have problems learning languages and that it is his responsibility to try to solve these problems. Only by mentally putting himself in their place will he achieve insight into his own effectiveness as a teacher. And, in the process, he will find that he has generated the right kind of atmosphere for happy and productive language learning" (HUBBARD, Peter; JONES, Hywel; THORNTON, Barbara & WHELLER, Rod. "A training course for ELF". Oxford: Oxford University Press, 1983).

José.
