Concordo com você. Utilizando uma comparação bem simples, falar sobre “ser autônomo” se a gente mesmo não sabe como ser e como aplicar idéias a respeito de autonomia no ensino, seria como falar "sobre" uma língua estrangeira sem nunca ter aprendido essa língua. Acredito que o trecho que você citou:

Little (1995) argued that learner autonomy depends on teacher autonomy in two senses: (i) it is unreasonable to expect teachers to foster growth of autonomy in their learners if they themselves do not know what it is to be an autonomous learner; (ii) in determining the initiatives they take in their classrooms, teachers must be able to apply to their teaching those same reflective and self-managing processes that they apply to their learning.”

afirma uma verdade: interdependência entre professor e alunos até mesmo na experiência do conceito de autonomia.

Um outro ponto também sobre essa citação é que garantir todas as condições para a que os aprendizes se tornem autônomos, aprender a considerar o conceito de autonomia no espaço do ensino (como você mesma disse, somos todos produtos de uma outra idéia de ensinar e aprender), não significa que seja suficiente para o seu desenvolvimento. Sem a condução bem-feita do professor, o trabalho vai ser em vão. Candy (1989, p. 109), quando expõe uma das últimas críticas que o modelo construtivista recebe, acaba indiretamente afirmando isso: a aparente aceitação da interpretação individual para tudo no construtivismo acabaria implicando uma falta de critério para julgar a validade dessa interpretação. No entanto, nem todas as “construções” são válidas. Na educação há que se propiciar as reconstruções...
