Subject: Didn't see The Departed, but I felt the same way about Babel
In reply to: AssieKay 's message, "Did anybody else who saw The Departed not like it?" on 20:05:32 03/18/07 Sun

I felt the same way about Babel as you did about The Departed. I just saw it last night. Overall it was a good movie, but certainly not worth full price and not even a movie you need to see. I want to see The Departed, but it's not a mission (especially now with your review!).

Cate Blanchett did an outstanding job but I'm not clear why it was designated as a lead role. Jennifer Hudson as supporting actress had more screen time, lines, and associated challenges. How does the lead of one story in a concentrated trilogy get more recognition?
