I am neither a Democrat nor a Republican, but I have a few comments.

One of Mr. Lynx's co-workers who was a big Hillary supporter had this to say after that debate: "I wish I could change my primary vote to Obama. What is WRONG with her?"

For me, it is interesting to look at still photos from the debate, because Obama appears very relaxed and Hillary looks brittle, as if she could shatter into a thousand pieces at any moment. Your Linda Blair analogy is very on-the-mark.

My opinion of Hillary is the same that it has always been. She's a very intelligent, ruthless, power-hungry woman who rode her husband's coattails to high office. She always speaks from the brain, never from the heart. In fact, she hasn't spoken from the heart in so long that not even she knows who she is. Regarding the heart, I view her as a sort of Democratic female version of Dick Cheney. She is all about getting elected. If she thought that wearing a giant chicken suit would get her elected, she'd be wearing it right now.

She's making a huge tactical error by going on the attack against the first black man who has a real shot at the office. Now she is accusing him of lying or distorting the truth, when clearly he is not. (Her health care plan does require everybody to buy insurance, and she most definitely was a huge cheerleader for NAFTA. She is the distorter in those arguments.) I have to laugh when she criticizes John McCain for supporting the war, because she voted for it on multiple occasions, too.

All that said, I still think we may end up with her in the White House; if not this time, then four years from now. I don't really think we're the ones who choose. To me, it's all moot, because I believe this civilization is toast in about a maximum of five years.

As for SNL, I haven't watched it since waaaaaay back in the day, when it was funny every time.
