Subject: Jury Duty Purgatory

I lived in Oklahoma for over forty years, and was never once summoned for jury duty. I have lived in Arizona eleven years, and I have been summoned for jury duty, oh, about a thousand times. Despite this fact, I have never actually been empanelled. Every single case I've been called for has been settled, often at the last minute. This throws me back into the jury pool. Without fail, I can expect another summons in 2-3 months.

Here's how you can help. On Monday evening I have to call to find out if I have to show up Tuesday. Please keep your fingers crossed that I will actually be empanelled this time. If that happens, then I'll have a two year free pass on having to serve jury duty. Thanks! ;-)
