After a week of therapy, she is doing much better, brat, thanks. I can tell she is making progress, her attitude is good and she seems to be comfortable in her surroundings. The staff at the rehab hospital (where she was transferred to last Friday night) is VERY nice and attentive. The therapists she works with are sweet, but also push her to keep going just that five extra minutes. Medicare has approved her to be there through the end of April... if I feel like she needs more time I can appeal. I'm hopeful that she will recover most, if not all of her speech, as well as the use of her hands. She has strength in arms, hands and legs, just not much coordination on the right side (and of course she's right handed!). But all in all, it's better than I'd hoped for. WHEW!!!

I have enough material for a novel thanks to her room mate. Holy cow... that is a true test of patience there! LOL

PLUS......... my oldest got engaged tonight!! I have a big year ahead of me!!

How are you holding up, brat? I've been thinking about you. Hope you're unwinding and finding a way to get some peace, quiet and stress relief!!
