It used to be cool to go at 4 or 5am in the morning because not many people were out, and they had really good deals in the first few hours. The last few years it seems everyone's catching on, and the camping out overnight lines started happening.

After our experience last year we're a little more leary about the lines. We got suckered into standing in line, while it was freezing, for a big screen tv that was only $400 at Walmart. We arrived at 1am, we were about 25th in line, and it turns out the store only had 2 at that price. They said quantities would be limited, but I never would have imagined they would only have 2. We did meet some really interesting people while waiting though so it wasn't as bad as it could have been.

I think because I'm no longer a student the bargain basement deals won't have as much attraction as they once did. Even though I was tempted to go out this weekend and do some shopping, I decided I didn't want to deal with the crowds. I'll just go sometime in the middle of the week when it's not so crowded.
