No, lynx, I don't have candida. Luckily I can count on one hand the number of yeast infections I've had in my lifetime. This yeast free diet is in an effort to kill off all the yeast in my body, which the doctor suspects is the cause of my fatigue and allergies. I've taken antibiotics several times a year for sinus infections since I was 15 and that's why she thinks there is a large yeast build up in my body.

At the moment I can't have anything with any type of yeast at all, including brewer's... no vinegar whatsoever, no dairy, no grains of any kind, etc... The literature I read said that the "die off" symptoms could include flu-like or cold symptoms, along with some intestinal distress for a few days. I've been sick as a dog for 6 days now and was just wondering if the diet could be the cause or not. I'm thinking not though, since the upper respiratory "crud" is going around and lots of people I know are sick at the moment. Good news is I've lost 10 pounds in a week. LOL I was just curious if anybody had suffered with "die off" symptoms and how long they lasted. I think six days of suffering means that I have a bug instead :(

Thanks for your comments though... this is proving to be an interesting exercise.
