There are probably a lot of historical references that I missed too, but I still liked A Mighty Wind. I thought I would be annoyed by Eugene Levy's character just based on the voice, but after repeated viewings, I found myself laughing at almost everything he said.

My favorite one of the series is probably Best In Show, though. Fred Willard might be the funniest man in America.
