That's great that you want it to work this time. That's the most important part. That, all by itself, is enough to make it work. The good feeling you get from drugs is temporary. The good feeling you get about your life from not using drugs is permanent.

My friend was "scared straight". He spent 4 months in jail and vowed never to allow that to happen to him again.

I debated whether to respond or not, but when you posted that you went out again and got drunk, I decided "What the hell. Whatever I have to say won't make it any worse."


As far as the higher power thing goes, that's something that you're going to have to work out for yourself.
