As corny as it may sound, if I have a day when I haven't learned something that I didn't know before, I feel like I've had a small failure as a human being. How can we have these amazing brains, whether gift or biological accident, and not be compelled to use them? It's why I read so relentlessly.

And when you're older, you have less interest in sex once again. It may sound tragic, but in fact it's quite liberating. ;-)
