You can win more football games by cheating, intimidation or flat-out being a dick as well. Many people resort to that and are successful. Those who don't are prized for their sportsmanship. It's why Peyton Manning has a ton of endorsements and Michael Vick doesn't.

Vick is still a fine football player and helps his team win games, but I don't have to want him to win. And if my vote mattered, he wouldn't get it. Ever.
